I played Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora when it launched, and while I was impressed by its visuals and how well it captured the spirit of the franchise, the gameplay didn’t offer anything particularly unique. Ubisoft has announced a third-person update for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, arriving on December 5, 2025. This new feature lets players explore Pandora from a fresh perspective—literally—with the option to toggle third-person view at any time. Whether you’re traversing the world, engaging in combat, or simply admiring the scenery, this mode adds a renewed sense of scale, immersion, and freedom.
Massive Entertainment has also overhauled the game’s animations, controls, audio, and camera systems to make the experience feel natural and seamless.
