The latest PlayStation 5 system update has been released, and it brings a pretty hefty quality-of-life change to the way fans can use their DualSense controllers. The DualSense is a nice piece of hardware overall, though many of its features, like haptic feedback and gyro, are mostly underutilized. Thankfully, fans of the controller will have more flexibility with it now, especially if they plan on using it on PC or another platform.
According to a PlayStation Blog post, the latest PS5 system update has added the ability to pair the DualSense wireless controller to multiple devices simultaneously, without having to manually pair the controller every time players want to use it on a different device. The feature is still in beta, with the full release coming in the next few months.
When the PS5 and DualSense controllers were first released, the gamepads were sometimes difficult to get working on other platforms and PC, even previously requiring the controller to be connected to a PS5 to update. The new update aims to offer a "more flexible and seamless gaming experience," regardless of platform, including PS5, PC, iPhone, and PS5 Pro.
