Publisher Bandai Namco has shared the fourth guardian trailer for Towa and the Guardians of the Sacred Tree. Besides giving us a closer look at Bampuku and Mutsumi, it reveals an important sacrifice theme in the game and the fact a demo is now available to try out on PC (Steam), PlayStation, Xbox Series X|S and Switch.
Fight and Sacrifice
Towa and the Guardians of the Sacred Tree is the most recent project by developer Brownies, who has previously worked on projects like Egglia and Doraemon Story of Seasons. The company was founded by Shinichi Kameoka (Mana series, Magical Starsign) as a means to achieve more freedom in producing new titles.
While very different from Kameoka's designs, Towa's immersion in Japanese culture, hand-drawn characters and painterly scenery make up a unique project. The game also features a soundtrack by Hitoshi Sakimoto of Basiscape, who has worked on multiple important Japanese RPG projects, like Final Fantasy Tactics, Tactics Ogre, and, more recently, Vanillaware's Unicorn Overlord.
In the new game, players accompany Towa and a group of guardians to fight against the Magatsu forces and protect Shinju village. Part of the game's experience revolves around using a duo composed of...
