If you're obsessed with Stardew Valley, Bloodborne, Zelda, or are even just a big Western fan, this upcoming RPG releasing in November is absolutely going to shoot to the top of your wishlist. The indie title is described as a "Soulslike Western ... 2D action-RPG that might just drive you to madness."

Tombwater is a solo-developed indie game releasing on November 12, and you can play the demo for free on Steam now. According a Reddit post from the creator, Moth Atlas, it's like if you "smash together Zelda and Bloodborne, and then crank up the yee-haw meter."

Published by Midwest Games, Tombwater sees you take on the role of a gun-slinging cowboy in the "accursed Wild West town of Tombwater," where you'll find yourself facing down monstrous beasts.

The game's pixel art and animations are reminiscent of Stardew Valley or top-down Zelda games, but the style is being used for a very different purpose. Players who enjoy soulslike RPGs will want to see for themselves how Tombwater incorporates soulslike mechanics in a 2D medium.
