Now, the game platform is all-in on another hot-button topic — artificial intelligence. Roblox has been working on AI tools for a while, and the company's latest report makes it clear that it's not just a minor investment.
In the current Roblox Developers Conferences, Roblox revealed that it now has 400 AI models in production, per a Eurogamer report. The 4D Objects feature is intended to facilitate AI creation of scripted assets, while other tools focus on simpler issues like text-to-speech and translation. Roblox's newest Economic Impact Report also highlights "new AI capabilities" for Avatar Auto-Setup and Assistant in Roblox Studio.
While Roblox hasn't shared the exact numbers behind its financial investment into AI tools, it's clearly a significant internal priority. Roblox stock is currently triple its value from one year ago, so it's not hard to imagine that the company has money to burn.
