Borderlands 4 is shaping up to be a massive hit with gamers, and it has just officially crossed a major sales and player-count milestone just 10 days after its release. Reviews for Borderlands 4 have been largely positive since it first released on September 12, despite reported issues with its performance and optimization on PC.
Alinea Analytics recently shared early release data for Borderlands 4 (via GamesIndustry.biz) that reveals the game has amassed over 2.5 million players since launch, resulting in revenues of over $150 million. Borderlands 4 has also surpassed 300,000 concurrent players on Steam post-launch, with an all-time peak of 240,219 according to Steam's player-count database.
As noted by Steam, over half of Borderlands 4 players are based in the United States, with China, Germany, the UK, and Canada ranking close behind. The US also accounts for over half of Borderlands 4's player base on PlayStation consoles, with 5% to 8% of players coming from the UK, Germany, France, and Canada.
