Ubisoft's Uno Gets Crazy with Major Update, ‘Show ‘Em No Mercy’ Mode

Even though it’s been nearly twenty years since players started shouting “UNO!” on the Xbox 360, the digital color- and number-matching card game has somehow managed to remain present in many a gamer’s mind. This is due, at least in part, to Ubisoft’s somewhat uncharacteristic continuing support of the game, faithfully adding new Uno modes and content every other year or so.

The latest update just hit the game, bringing fans some new features and a menu overhaul along with the brand-new “Show ‘Em No Mercy” mode. The new features are highlighted in the release trailer below, but they appear to mostly consist of a new Twitch mode for streamers and in-game events.

The real meat of this update, however, is the new “Show ‘Em No Mercy” mode, which is the latest rule set to be brought over from the physical card game. In this version of the game, players have two means of winning: discarding all their cards like usual or by staying under 25 cards longer than everyone else.
