Freebie Twin-Stick Arena Shooter Evil Egg Tears Into Release

It's hard to beat the purity of a killer twin-stick arena shooter. There's one you, a ton of them, and heavy firepower on both sides of the equation. Maybe if the game is feeling particularly Robotron-ish there will be a few wandering innocents to save, in order to get you moving to areas of the screen that would be too risky to both with if it wasn't for the promise of a nice points reward. Enemies warp into the arena in waves, you blast them into pixels or polygons while doing your level best to keep out of their way, and the pressure slowly creeps up bit by bit until eventually all hearts/lives/hits are gone. It's worked perfectly from Llamatron to Geometry Wars, Mutant Storm to Satryn Deluxe, and while all of them are clearly and intentionally influenced by Eugene Jarvis' brutally tough but usually fair magnum opus Robotron, each stands on its own as an individual take on the formula.
