Genshin Impact developer HoYoverse has teased its next game with some short in-engine footage. Described as an open-world MMO, the project looks nothing like Genshin Impact—or any other title previously released by the Chinese studio.

As of November 2025, HoYoverse is actively maintaining five games: Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail, Honkai Impact 3rd, Zenless Zone Zero, and Tears of Themis. Several additional projects are currently in the works at the Shanghai-based company. Some, such as the Animal Crossing-like game Petit Planet, have been officially announced. Others remain more mysterious, including an open-world MMORPG reportedly built with Unreal Engine 5, according to some previously emerged job listings.

HoYoverse’s ongoing talent acquisition efforts have now provided even more insights into its unnamed MMO project. As noted by ResetEra user L.O.R.D., the company recently shared in-engine footage of the upcoming title via social media platform RedNote. The 19-second clip reveals little, showing a fantasy landscape with a magical stone or root-like structure and several horsemen in the background.
