Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim has a hold on the gaming industry that very few RPGs can muster. It stormed onto the scene and immediately enamored RPG fans, leading to its subsequent release on basically every platform possible.With that said, the base game very clearly shows its age, especially now that it has just hit its 15th anniversary. Modders, however, are constantly bringing it up to modern hardware standards, revamping nearly every single aspect of the game, even settlements. Take this Skyrim Ultra Modded graphics suite, shared by the Digital Dreams YouTube channel.
Stunningly, the 8K60 Skyrim "Ultra Modded Graphics" suite includes 3100 mods, and in the sample video, it is running on an RTX 5090 with ray tracing. Skyrim already had a lot of enhancements over its predecessor, Oblivion, but this is something else. It feels like a culmination of 15 years of modding work, and you can see the stark visual upgrades in the video below.
