Stardew Valley Fans Call Out Flaws In Underwhelming Event

After years of free updates and options for replayability, Stardew Valley has come a long way since its humble origins back in 2016, but that doesn't mean there aren't still areas for improvement. Expanding the limited dialogue options after romancing one of Stardew Valley's bachelors would be an easy choice, and one of the very first romantic moments you'll have with your virtual partner is easily the worst out of the bunch.

As pointed out by Reddit user erxnnholland, the very first Stardew Valley event, the Flower Dance, is easily "the worst festival in the game", offering little reason to attend unless you're immersed in role-playing. This isn't the first time the complaint has been brought up, with countless other players slamming the Flower Dance as a disappointing venture that often isn't worth the effort to revisit, aside from some extra heart points.

Even if the abrasive personality of Stardew Valley's villagers is one of its greatest selling points for creating more lifelike characters, it's hard to get over the initial rejection of getting brutally rejected by your virtual crush in the first year.
