Cyberpunk 2077, GTA 6 Collide In Impressive New Open-World RPG

Cyberpunk 2077 has enshrined itself among the most celebrated open-world RPGs, and while Grand Theft Auto 6 will be more action-oriented, it's almost assuredly going to be one of the most ambitious open worlds ever rendered. Combine these monoliths, though, and you might get an approximation of what to expect from developer Neon Giant's next game, No Law, which was unveiled during The Game Awards 2025.

Neon Giant's debut title, The Ascent, first came out in 2021, and is suitably quaint for a new, small studio. No Law, however, looks and sounds exceptionally ambitious. Per the game's Steam listing, "NO LAW is a first-person, story-rich, cyber-noire shooter set in a decadent port city built on neon sleaze instead of regulations." Said city is called Port Desire, and according to Eurogamer, No Law's open world is going for depth rather than breadth.

The Ascent has a great cyberpunk aesthetic, so the sci-fi subgenre seems to be Neon Giant's specialty, but as a first-person open-world RPG set in a dense urban environment, it's impossible to overlook No Law's Cyberpunk 2077 parallels.
