Several months ago, Stardew Valley creator ConcernedApe spilled the beans that update 1.7 was in the works. While they're typically cheeky about whether the modern classic will continue to receive support, over the years, they've slowly delivered game-changing free updates.

Now, thanks to a social media post on X from ConcernedApe, we have a better idea as to what update 1.7 entails. Just know we might be waiting a long time for it to arrive.

While conversing with fans on social media (as ConcernedApe does), a fan asked if we could get any hints on the content and quality-of-life updates coming to Stardew Valley 1.7. Thankfully, they obliged.

Although details are still slim, here is what ConcernedApe revealed:

While it may not seem like much, this is a pretty big confirmation in the eyes of Stardew Valley fans. Social interactions seem to be a big part of this update, which will excite fans who are deeply invested in the game's lore, world, and characters. A new farm type, ConcernedApe notes, is a "traditional" bullet pointin a Stardew update, and it's nice to see it make it this time around.
