The 76ers' Joel Embiid is NBA Live 19's cover athlete

The man with the iconic haircut is now forever immortalized as NBA Live 19's cover athlete, it was revealed today. Joel Embiid was announced today as the star of the upcoming basketball game, set to launch late this summer and as part of the EA Play First access on August 31st.

Embiid was the third overall pick of the NBA Draft 2014 presented by State Farm, and claimed a spot on the All-Star roster for the first time this season. He also led his team to their first playoff appearance since 2012 while averaging nearly 23 points and 11 rebounds a game.
