Niantic has finally acknowledged the complaints players had with respect to special backgrounds not showing up for remote raids in Pokemon GO Fest 2024 and has assured that compensation is on the way for those who suffered from the issue. As of now, Niantic has not revealed what Pokemon GO players will get in return as it is still actively investigating the issue and will follow up with more details in the days to come.

The past few weeks have been a bumpy ride for Niantic, as the developer has received a lot of flak from the community. Most recent of all is the updated Terms of Service, which prevents Pokemon GO players from being a part of a class action lawsuit against Niantic. Amid that, there is some good news for fans who took part in remote raids during Pokemon GO Fest.
