Animal Crossing: New Horizons Trick is a Safe Way to Catch Scorpions

An Animal Crossing: New Horizons player accidentally discovered a safe way to catch scorpions while playing the game casually by taking advantage of a unique exploit with one of the game's major mechanics. The discovery quickly blew up online due to the rarity of scorpions in Animal Crossing and the amount of in-game currency they typically sell for, which makes them a huge commodity.

Animal Crossing has a wide variety of creatures to catch, ranging from fish and sea creatures to insects and arachnids, the most valuable of which are tarantulas and scorpions. Naturally, the rarity of scorpions is somewhat proportional to their value, as they are not only uncommon in the first place, but catching them can be a hassle since they often sting players and run away if they get too close.

Animal Crossing fans are in for a disappointment in late November, though Nintendo has some good news for the series' future.
