Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree players will want to be very cautious when it comes to multiplayer as a group of hackers has taken to invading games specifically to break save data. In any video game with multiplayer, the issue of hackers is ever present as some players prefer to cheat the system to either elevate their status or troll others. Elden Ring is no different but unfortunately for legitimate users, a new group of hackers is looking to undo hours of grinding and perseverance.

Per a post by SpiderKnife on Reddit, the user raised awareness of a certain group of hackers looking to invade Elden Ring games and delete the save date of their unaware victim.

The cheaters are invading games and then killing end-game bosses before players have encountered them, ruining the experience and completely breaking one's saved data. The group has made waves in the community as players have begun blocking them en masse on Steam, ensuring that their save data will be safe from the cheaters.
