Pokemon Unite will be shutting down in Belgium and the Netherlands on November 30, 2025. Originally launched in the summer of 2021 for the Nintendo Switch before making its way to mobile devices a couple of months later, Pokemon Unite is a free-to-play MOBA developed by TiMi Studio Group and published by The Pokemon Company. Despite being over three years old at this point, Pokemon Unite still receives regular updates that add new content to the game.
Pokemon Unite's main draw is that it lets players play as Pokemon in a MOBA setting. Future Pokemon Unite updates will add even more Pokemon to the roster, with Darkrai confirmed for October and Psyduck making its debut in November. Clearly, Pokemon Unite is popular enough to justify continued work on the game, so some fans may be wondering why it's shutting down in certain regions.
