Starfield is a game about exploring the great expanse of the known galaxy, granting players the chance to fly around the cosmos and discover various extraterrestrial wonders, but one creative mod finally takes the idea of being an astronaut and makes it a little more realistic. While Bethesda spent a great deal of time developing Starfield's universe, players don't actually spend too much time floating around space. Most of their adventures are confined to planetside treks or vehicles, so those wanting to experience the anxiety of drifting through space need to look for some third-party assistance.

Posting to Reddit, user Sgtwhiskeyjack9105 shared footage of their character embarking upon a brief spacewalk thanks to the "CCR - Simple EVA - Hotkey Spacewalk" mod by TiberiusMars.

Using their boost pack to navigate zero gravity, the tetherless spacewalk looks incredibly dramatic as they fly around what appears to be a space station in low orbit above an unknown planet. To return to their ship, they simply look at it and fast travel to the location, seamlessly entering into the pilot's seat and taking off; It's so effective that one has to wonder why it took a mod to become a reality....
