As World of Warcraft is hitting its official 20th anniversary on November 23, 2024, ongoing celebrations have been taking place throughout Azeroth and the real world. Between in-game events, rewards, and the recent release of World of Warcraft: The War Within expansion, excitement continues to grow. Now, World of Warcraft has announced a massive amount of in-game items for players to get, including brand-new items and others that are returning from previous anniversary events in the game.
WoW's anniversary has sparked numerous activities throughout the past year, but as the official calendar date nears, things are heating up. Yesterday, World of Warcraft shared a post on social media platforms showing off several of these rewards, including mounts, pets, and cosmetics. These items are coming soon, with the events running from October 22, 2024, through January 6, 2025.
Many of the special items for the event are themed off of the Blizzard employee service awards that people working at Blizzard earn in real life as they work for the company.
