New Horror Game Inspired by Console Disc Read Errors

The newly announced puzzle horror game Please Insert Disc has a unique premise and is already causing a stir in the gaming community. In Please Insert Disc, players navigate through the menus of a 2000s gaming console while trying to make their game work amid disc read errors, a novel idea that makes this upcoming PC indie game stand out.

Please Insert Disc is being developed by Night Signal Entertainment. The studio, which focuses on “crafting horror media from half-forgotten memories,” has already released two games, both mixing horror with puzzle mechanics. The first one, Night Signal, is a first-person horror game in which a player discovers that their television picks up strange signals during the night. The studio’s second and more well-known title, Home Safety Hotline, is a text-based point-and-click game that works as a telephone operator simulator using 90s technology.
