Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 surpassed 229,000 players on Steam, making it a huge hit on the platform. A record set by 2023's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 was also broken on Steam by Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, as many fans believe the latest Call of Duty title is a return to form for the franchise.
On October 25, Black Ops 6 made its worldwide debut on consoles and PC with a single-player campaign mode continuing after the events of Black Ops Cold War and the flashback sequences of Black Ops 2. Players may take a break from covert operations in the campaign by playing the traditional round-based Zombies mode or diving into multiplayer solo or with friends. 16 multiplayer maps are currently available in Black Ops 6, and the mode features the tried-and-true Prestige system that fans may remember from Black Ops 2 and other fan-favorite Call of Duty titles. Reception for Black Ops 6 appears to be very positive on PC, thanks to the breadth of content that's available on day one.
