Having no scarecrows didn't stop one Stardew Valley player from trying to keep crows off their crops, in the most polite and adorable way. Scarecrows are used to keep crows away from crops, protecting a certain range from the pesky birds. To craft a scarecrow, players need to collect 50 wood, 20 fiber, and one lump of coal, but it can take a beginning farmer some time to acquire these crafting ingredients.

Reddit user coffeeinhaler found themselves in this predicament, unable to craft a scarecrow but wanting to protect their small patch of crops. Luckily, they came up with an adorable solution, placing a sign next to the field that simply says "Crows, stay away plz."

Many of the comments in the Reddit thread play along with the Redditor, sharing memes in response and showing how sad the crows must be to realize that they aren't allowed to visit anymore. User Nerril hilariously responded with a well-known meme showing DW from the children's show Arthur staring at a door with a note on it and proclaiming, "That sign can't stop me because I can't read!"
