Xbox's Quick Resume feature, which allows players to quickly jump back into their games, is creating an issue with Death Stranding Director's Cut's save functionality. This issue is causing some players on Xbox Series X/S to lose their progress and forcing them to replay sections of Death Stranding.

Death Stranding Director's Cut was released on Xbox Series X/S on November 7, 2024, five years after the game's original release on PlayStation 4. While this Xbox console release will give a brand-new group of players the opportunity to experience this unique action title from the legendary game designer Hideo Kojima, they will need to exercise some care while playing if they want to avoid being affected by a bug that can lead to lost progression.
