Veteran Battlefield developer Thaddeus Sasser confirms that the studio considered adding a Segway vehicle before axing it due to balancing. Battlefield games are known for featuring vehicles, but this one never debuted.

Since the early days of the Battlefield franchise, the games have featured a mix of vehicles, such as tanks and planes. Some of the offerings in Battlefield 2042 include the F-35, EMBLC-Ram, and T28. While Battlefield 2042 had a mixed reception at launch, the series has had other entries like Battlefield Hardline that deviated from the gameplay formula in the mainline games. Unlike the military style of most Battlefield titles, Hardline featured a campaign and game modes centered on cops versus robbers. Although Hardline was updated with new content throughout its lifespan, it missed out on getting a Segway that was already designed by the team.

There is still life and excitement in Battlefield 2042, with a recent all-new event finally introducing an official Hardcore Mode to the title.
