Earlier today, Capcom and Tencent’s TiMi Studio Group announced a new Monster Hunter mobile game, Monster Hunter Outlanders. Although many details about the game were initially sparse, Mr. Dong Huang, Producer at Tencent’s TiMi Studio Group, and Mr. Genki Sunano, Producer at Capcom, took to YouTube following the announcement to address some of the pressing questions.
For starters, while the game was only recently revealed, it was TiMi Studio Group that reached out to Capcom four years ago to propose the partnership. TiMi Studio Group’s enthusiasm for the Monster Hunter series was evident, as shown in the video with the impressive display of Monster Hunter items and statues. Capcom agreed that collaborating with TiMi Studio Group would be a good fit, and the project moved forward.
One of the bigger questions about the game has also been answered: the game will feature original characters who will hunt familiar creatures from the series. The new gameplay footage shown provides a clearer sense of what to expect and conveys this better than the initial Monster Hunter Outlanders reveal trailer.
