I’ll honestly never get tired discussing the success of the Nintendo Switch. Even as the host of the Nintendo Entertainment Podcast, I’ve made it clear that the Switch’s success was never guaranteed, and yet, The Big N has done just about everything right to make it the success that we have now. Even as we wait for the next system to come out, and endure the NUMEROUS rumors and “leaks” about it, we still get insights into just how well this current console is still doing.

That brings us to today, where NPD sales analyst Mat Poscatella revealed that the Nintendo Switch has officially surpassed the PlayStation 2 as the best-selling console in the United States. Yes, “best-selling console,” as there’s still one thing above the Switch…

Yeah, the Nintendo DS still reigns supreme. The Switch being right behind it though is pretty awesome, and it’s obvious that Nintendo will want to replicate this success in the US and beyond whenever the Switch 2 arrives.
