Capcom delivered good news for fans who shelled out for the PlayStation 5 Pro console, promising that Monster Hunter Wilds will receive support for the console's enhancements via a release day patch. The announcement was made during Capcom's Pre-Launch Community Update live stream event, in which developers discussed improvements being made to the final version of Monster Hunter Wilds ahead of its February 28, 2025 launch.

Monster Hunter Wilds is a first for the series, being the very first Monster Hunter title made from the ground up for the current generation of console hardware and PC. As such, Capcom's promised to push the game's visuals and art forward in a way that wasn't possible with Monster Hunter Rise, which was originally conceived for the more limited hardware of the Nintendo Switch. Anticipation is thus extremely high, with the Monster Hunter Wilds beta breaking Steam player records for the year. Players of the beta came away with strong impressions, both positive and negative, and didn't hesitate to share it with Capcom via social media and official feedback channels.
