A visual/audible masterpiece held back by it's frustrating gameplay
This game is a great work of art and if you can perservere over some very confusing and lengthy parts of the gamplay, you should give it a shot just to immerse yourself in the video/audio of this game that happens OUTSIDE OF GAMEPLAY.
But as a general recommendation I can't recommend this blindly like I have recommended other such type of games like Exo One or Journey. The gameplay can get really really frustrating and lengthy at time and it really pulls it back.
The problem that happens with the gameplay is that it's can't make up it's mind if it's trying to be a easy linear gameplay or precision platformer. This constant switching really harms this piece of art which otherwise is a masterpiece worth experiencing even just once for yourself.
I need to decide now finally if I should recommend this to people or not.
On one hand as I said it's a masterpiece to behold but considering the frustrating gameplay parts I would not mind if you just watched the cutscenese of this or a gameplay instead of experiencing this yourself.
On that note, [strong]it's not a recommendation[/strong]. If your involvement doesn't matter and the involvement might put you off from this game, I would rather that you watch the gameplay of this "game" and enjoy the art in it than trying to play the game and quitting in frustration.
What is the gameplay trying to be?
I don't understand what the game is trying to be! On one hand it keeps everything linear and holds my hands and walks me through every paths and then suddenly gives me a really precise and tight timing required platforming for no reason. I don't get it.
I am on two minds right now. I understand the artistic aspect of it and adore it but the game part is something I am not enjoying. Definately would not recommend to friends as they will kick me for giving them something so confusing to play. It's not a fun playing experience that's for sure.
Alright I will try to explain them a bit:
Gameplay Negative Aspects:

The gravity change thingies are just weird. If it was truly something to wrap your brains around I would let it pass but since everything is so linear there is no point.

The three flower jump is really really inconsistent. Sometimes it works on first try sometimes it doesn't.

Why is there a need to rush through some of the sections? I don't get it. It's not hollow knight where I need to be super serious, I thought this was a chill game. I don't mind either but if you set a precedent, follow it through

And why are there precision jumps everywhere?

I really can't tell you how I "found" some starts. I just keep wandering like an idiot and it all just kept happening. Very unsatisfying.

I am not saying it's difficult. I am saying it's very confusing even if it's linear.

It is slightly frustrating that sometimes you can pass through objects and sometimes you can't. It's only a slight issue that I can live with.
Some other notes I made when playing it
+I guess that's the thing about these games, you can't pinpoint the exact underlying theme.
+Really beautiful well put-together water color paint more than a game actually.
-The coolest part of the game was a cutscene when it could have been a proper gameplay.
-No brutal death animations. What I actually mean is you can't die even in tense situations where you feel like you should.
"It's not a good sign for any game when I start looking at the clock and start wondering how much more there is left of it. I have played Journey, Exo One and actually being sad knowing it will finish soon and even stayed on the Credit Screen for hours but here I am being honest, I just want it to be over.
Hard to even make fun of!
This is what I initially wrote about the game as a joke. I always make fun of stuff and people I love. Now, I really don't even want to put it at the top anymore. This is what I would have started with if I actually liked the game.
Is this game about periods? Anyways it has something to do with despair.
