nlmnyc The Alters Review

I'm about 10 hours into this game and it's absolutely incredible. The story itself is such a difficult feat to pull off. Writing a story about clones seems so obvious, a great crutch for a beginning writer to use. Something that will easily explain whatever they may write and wherever they want the plot to go. An evil twin, a multiverse, time travel are other similar examples. I think this notion is deceiving, and successfully pulling off a convincing representation of clones, it takes a pretty agile writer to do that. Giving them all distinct personalities but with a believable common thread, balancing nature vs. nature....convincing the audience that: yes, this person could have totally turned out like this with had they been subjected to a different environment if their life had taken a different turn.
Why are streamers not playing this!! This needs more hype and I hope people discover this game and support it.
It has its downsides...like so far all the clones seems to be jerks when our protagonist doesn't seem like that at all. Keep waiting for the laid back, cool clone ;)
Anyway, I'm surprised
