NMChe56 Dragon Age: The Veilguard Review
Nov 21, 2024
From someone who has actually played the game and isn’t on some crusade to review bomb it because I take my marching orders from some content creator/culture warrior…
It’s a very good game. It sorta rights the mistakes or Mass Effect 2 in terms of characters and story harmonizing.
Here’s what I mean: in Mass Effect 2, the vast majority of the missions centered around your team (of 10-12 people), however, none of them had anything to do with the main story. DATV corrects this. Either the companion quests relate to the main story or has some clear connection to it.
Combat and exploration are somewhat reminiscent of G*d of War Ragnarok (used * because OpenCritic flagged “gee Oh Dee” as “profanity” lol!).
Unless you have some extremely rigid notion of what makes a dragon age game (eg, Art style, gameplay) or are a snowflake, then you should enjoy this game.
