NobleGamer Mad Games Tycoon Review
Jun 12, 2025
As a fan of sim & tycoon games, I'm very glad I supported this since its Early Access days. It provides a great mix of simulating some small details as well as the big picture of the game development industry. It ranges from picking physical game package contents to buying out other game developers and publishing their games. I find that type of end-game stuff to be more satisfying than comparable games. They've also added specific development departments/studios like for testing (gameplay) and audio, which for a price help boost certain aspects of the games being developed.
The game difficulties are true to their names, and I appreciate that genre-specific tips earned with dev time don't just give away precise levels for what it takes to make the best games. The trial-and-error nature exists, but the Game Reports help indicate when certain things like casual vs core gamer balance are just right, and trending topic & genre can help. Even if you get all the sliders right, its still really tough to get 100% on a game - As I've only done it once - On Easy. More elaborate MMO and F2P mechanics have to be handled different than retail games. The devs addressed all the bug reports I've provided during Early Access, and I like the choice community-fed ideas that have been put into the game.
