OmniGodEmperor Marvel's Wolverine Review
Sep 16, 2026
Pre-launch reviews missed the mark on this one. The player community already knows better.
Insomniac delivered the definitive Wolverine experience. The story treats Logan with the narrative weight and complexity the character deserves. Combat is visceral, tactical, and deeply satisfying with berserker mechanics built specifically around the character rather than borrowed from another framework.
On the difficulty criticism: accessibility options exist in settings and are not enabled by default. Reviewers who reported the game as too easy either played with those options on or misrepresented them. The base experience is challenging and rewarding.
Native HDR is stunning. Uncapped VRR at 120Hz runs exceptionally smooth with resolution dips that are technically present but genuinely unnoticeable during play. The violence earns the mature rating and never feels gratuitous because it is consistent with who Logan is.
At $69.99 to $79.99 this is full value without qualification.
92% of nearly 8,000 global player ratings gave this five stars. The audience verdict is in.
Insomniac built something essential. Play it on the highest difficulty you can handle with accessibility options off. That is the intended experience and it is outstanding.
5.0/5.0. Essential.
