Wings of Theve is the best Ace Combat game in franchise history, topping Ace Combat 5 after two decades at the top of my personal ranking. Storyline delivers at the highest level the series has achieved. ACE difficulty S rank across all missions is genuinely demanding and satisfying in equal measure. The music, specifically Everflow and Hortus Regis Alti, is phenomenal. New controls serve new players well while Type B classic remains available for veterans. The Strangereal timeline is approaching Electrosphere territory and I am watching with full attention. Perfect entry point for new players. Perfect homecoming for returning ones.
