PandaPuke Still Wakes the Deep Review
Dec 6, 2025
Game was super immersive, every inch felt so lived in with stellar visuals. The voice acting was on par as well as the character designs. Visually, the game is stellar. You’d think you’d want more exploration in this type of game, but I actually liked the linear gameplay. I would have been lost for hours on the absolute maze of a ship the game takes places on. It’s so intricately designed. I think it dumbs the game down a bit but is worth the trade off.
Not by any means the scariest game out there but it is pretty spooky, especially towards the end. If you came to this game hoping it’s as spooky as Amnesia, you might be disappointed. I went into the game blindly and it provides a decent horror fix, but is more eerie than anything.
I’m not sure what the price of the game is (I played it in the PlayStation store/didn’t check price) but I hope this was never a full priced game. I beat it in 5 hours and would have loved it to be a little longer. If I had to put a price on it, I’d say it felt like it should cost around $40, and I don’t mean that in a negative way. I played this game out of a random whim and was pleasantly surprised!
