pezpimp Sea of Stars Review

What a great find. This is an RPG that just has so many things right. There is a nice story and solid and original combat that evolves with the game. The story flow prevents any need to grind just to level up, keeping the game at a lower level of difficulty than many, which I thought was a nice change from so many other games I have played recently. It is just a lot of fun to play. The art direction is solid as well, with pixelated graphics and just a few cut scenes throughout the whole game, with everything skippable right away in case you just want to play. Overall, just a really well-designed game that made a lot of good decisions during the development process, making it hard to put down. Other little touches that I liked include: save spots are everywhere, good (but easy) puzzles and your character is always running. My only real gripes are that some voice acting would have been nice, sometimes the writing is not great and many levels are quite dark so play in a dark room it you may find it annoying.
