Rogue and rogue-lite games are quite common these days and they provide an interesting progression and story. This one I would say is one of the better ones. It can be played cooperatively, which is a really nice addition, both players on one screen. It is a beat 'em up style of combat but with so much progression. In typical rogue-lite style, each time you die, you must restart but you are given more powers and each run through you are able to get further. But there is a lot of story here. Different quests and paths lead you to new powers, characters and a very well developed story. a really nice graphic style is also a plus and a solid progression for each attempt keeps you coming back. The game also has a nice fast forward option, which is important as you redo parts of the game so many times (it even skips the main dialogue on future attempts), a solid story and fighting mechanics. There are a few too many terms though, when upgrading it is not always clear what you are upgrading, but you get the hang of it after a while and there are explanations and definitions everywhere. The Nintendo Switch controllers are not ideal for this game due to the input last, so ideally play it on another console or PC.
