Pixel Crit Assassin's Creed Shadows Review

Assassin’s Creed Shadows is a game that tries to cement itself as the very best Ubisoft-style open world game. In reality, it’s just another tedious grind as you journey through a forgettable story on a map that’s simply far too big. The addition of a dual-character mechanic somehow waters down a very safe experience, whilst also causing a lot of frustration as it prevents you from being able to enjoy the game as a whole package. It’s clear to me that Ubisoft isn’t seeking to be ambitious with their franchises anymore. Instead, they’re hoping to refine their system, creating the best fast-food style video game money can buy. The problem with that is, fast-food is cheap and quick, Assassin’s Creed Shadows is neither of those.
