Pixel Crit Blue Prince Review

Blue Prince is an exceptional puzzle game, although I think it sits a tier below games such as The Witness or Return of the Obra Dinn. Its biggest issue is that solving the mystery of this manor can still lead to an annoying loop of trying to pull the right rooms just to use the knowledge you’ve gained. I think if that last stretch was a bit more efficient we’d be looking at one of the greatest puzzle games ever put together. It’s still excellent, and it’s still a joy to investigate every corner of this manor. For me though, relying on luck after spending hours doing all the hard work feels like takes the joyous eureka moment away from you.
