Pongy Luigi's Mansion 3 Review
Nov 26, 2024
Luigi explores a huge haunted tower to find his friends. Along the way, he must defeat ghosts and solve small enigmas with all the tools in his kit : a vacuum cleaner, a torch lamp and its add-on that reveals invisible objects, a throwable suction cup, and his jelly double Gluigi. Every of the fifteen-ish floors has its own theme and boss. This all is a fun little adventure of 15 hours. However, despite being the best entry in the franchise yet, this game still has some flaws : Luigi spends all his time vacuuming gold but has almost nothing to buy, there aren't enough different ghost types, the whole mechanic of "oh no I just got the valuable item but inconveniently it's been stolen before my very eyes and I must return to the previous already explored floor" is tedious, and the boss fights are not really balanced which can be frustrating.
