Wow, GTA III! Incredible nostalgia. To start, I didn't even know GTA and this was the first one I played! Furthermore, it was also my first open-world game and my first PS2 game, it was the one that came with the console! So imagine the feeling: that incredible freedom, the apparent possibility of going wherever you want, the impunity of doing bad, a new universe of possibilities opening up before me. Certainly, this game was one of the great milestones in my life as an amateur gamer.
Thus, in my endeavor to do all the GTAs, this was the fifth (GTA1 has two London expansions). It was an incredible experience, I had a lot of fun, really a lot, now with the maturity to want to finish (I'm not much for platinum, but almost) the game and understand the story.
Despite the sentimentality regarding the game, I really highly recommend it. Perhaps, those who started with the new generation ones, from IV onwards, won't think much of it, just as I probably didn't appreciate the first two at their fair value. But for sure this won't be the last time I replay this one!
