And Capcom hits the mark once again! After the wonderful remakes of Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3, the fourth installment brings back the winning formula and improves everything!
And that’s saying something, since the original Resident Evil 4 was already a tremendous success. Personally, I had finished that episode with great pleasure on the PS2. But this version once again feels like a completely new game.
Everything has been improved: the mechanics, the graphics, the elements. Even Ashley has become an almost likable person! It’s simple: I got completely hooked and devoured the game in about 20 hours!
I don’t really know what else to write without repeating what has already been said. I simply highly recommend this game, even for people who aren’t fans of Resident Evil. This installment can easily be played on its own.
Although I do believe that for people like me who are playing the series in chronological order, there’s an extra layer of enjoyment. That said, here I go starting Resident Evil Revelations… with a bit of apprehension after playing such a masterpiece.
