I think first I need to clarify that, along with racing games, classic fighting games are what I like the least. Well, it's not exactly a classic fighting game, as it takes some ideas from the wonderful Budokai Tenkaichi and also reminds me of Dragon Ball Xenoverse. But there are certain problems. The bet was somewhat audacious and risky. To bring together so many characters from various super-commercial mangas, with such different characteristics, and put all these people to fight on a similar level? For example, the womanizing N. Larson facing Goku in super-mode? Everything was set to go wrong. And to my great surprise, of course this is my controversial opinion, the mechanics and aesthetics met the expectations I never had! Let's be honest, the game didn't adopt the anime style, but it's a beautiful 3D, and controlling your favourite characters, with moves you love, is very satisfying. And there are many characters and scenarios! But then comes a first small problem, as it's not that serious really. The ambition of the game will always lead to: "Why isn't such and such there? Oh, and such a move, transformation, arena... was missing". In other words, with so much content, there ends up being a bit less care. But if that were the only problem... The real KICKER, which I also found in the Xenoverse games, is the script. Honestly, it's a BORE. BOREEEEEEEEEE! Okay, it's a fighting game, but with the type of content and the main proposal, they could have made an effort from the point of view of the main story. And look, Soul Calibur or Tekken seem like literary works next to this. This directly impacts the second big problem: once a new version comes out or the excitement wears off, the multiplayer dies, as these are games mainly based on this mode. If the story mode script isn't at least decent, you find yourself in a desert of deep boredom, despite great potential. Therefore, after 10 hours playing with the different options, moves, advancing a bit in the story, I'm shelving this game that could have been something really cool if it weren't for a clear laziness and unwillingness of... "Scriptwriters"? Did they even hire anyone for that? Anyway, I only recommend it if it's on a super-mega-sale and if you want to have a few hours of fun controlling your favorite characters.
