Aaaah, folks, how I love surprises like this. I don’t know why, but I thought this was going to be a BDL-type game — and it is NOT. In the end, it turned out to be a completely different experience, and honestly? Thank goodness.
This super colorful game, with questionable humor and interesting mechanics, feels like a warm hug and was clearly developed with a lot of love. It had been a long time since I’d taken a breath of fresh oxygen like this one. There’s an almost perfect balance between humor, intrigue, discovery, and difficulty. It’s not hard enough to make you quit, but it also doesn’t hold your hand like you’re incompetent throughout the whole experience. And it’s so fun that it clearly invites you to try and platinum it.
What some might consider too short actually feels like the perfect length to me. Just right to make you want to buy and try the sequel.
Of course, not everything is made of space roses. At the beginning, there’s a bit of difficulty getting into the experience, and sometimes you feel a little lost. But that doesn’t tarnish the beauty of this little gem, which leaves you with that delicious “I want more” feeling.
Honestly, I recommend it! 🚀
