ANOTHER MASTERPIECE! What can I say? Following the perfection of its predecessor, RE3 Remake is once again an immense pleasure to play! The graphics and art direction remain wonderful, the story keeps us intrigued, the characters maintain their depth, the mechanics were slightly improved (we love being able to dodge attacks)… And yet the game ends up being quite different from 2! Not better, not worse — just distinct! So here it is: if 2 has the incredible Leon, whom we adore, 3 brings us the incredible Jill, who can handle absolutely everything! While 2 leans more into the claustrophobic and tense atmosphere, 3 feels more focused on broader environments and action. But don’t worry — the adrenaline is still the same. That said, I can’t ignore my personal preference, which is purely sentimental and not meant to judge or diminish either chapter. Even though the third brings welcome novelties and even a slightly different style, the second won me over more. It felt more complete and deeper than its successor. But I repeat: both are undoubtedly on the same level and absolutely worth it! And that’s why RE3 Remake also joins my list of favorite games, finished in six hours. I HIGHLY recommend it. And I didn’t wait for anyone before jumping into the 4 Remake which — spoiler alert — is already a total banger!!!
