Among my favorite types of games, besides RPG and FPS, are survival-crafting games. In other words, I was unlikely not to like Stranded Deep. I remember spending a few hours on it when it was released and even finding some bosses. It was a lot of fun. So it was worth testing it again years later to write this review.
Positive point: what was good at the beginning is still there and there are also some new features.
But in the same way, the negative points are also still there. Elements that should no longer happen, especially in a game like this: invisible walls, bugged hitboxes, all elements (including living beings) that fly through the air due to a collision failure... Of course, it has its fun side, but it can be quite annoying.
In the end, the game is fun for a few hours, until... it becomes repetitive, giving a feeling of being unfinished. As if it had stopped along the way and gotten lazy. But I still hope this improves. After all, another title, with a different premise and many similarities, 'Raft', has interesting elements that could inspire it.
So, without many promises of greatness, I do recommend this game... But it's probably better to wait for a sale.
