Quget Europa Universalis V Review

Nov 12, 2025
It's different than the predecessor Europa Universalis 4. But still feels like a Europa Universalis game. It's more complex than ever starting at 1337. I really enjoy the population system which is tied to production, trade, manpower and your levies. Just conquering more land doesn't make you stronger, you have to try and gain control on the locations you conquered which you can do by integrating, accepting culture and by building roads or get a naval presence when you have a coastline. At the beginning of the game you will most likely create fiefdoms or vassals under your control. Do I understand the game after 30 hours? No, I still have 1307 hours left to finish the tutorial 🤭 The game as complex as this one will come with balance issues and small bugs. So keep an eye on the patch notes! The complexity of the game also shows in the UI, there are so many buttons and options that it will take a while to get used too. But the addition of search bars and filters in several places does make it easier to find the right building, mapmode or character.
