Rah101CH Mixtape Review

May 12, 2026
Mixtape is a massive disappointment. This isn’t even really a video game — it’s an ultra-short interactive movie (3-4 hours max) that tries way too hard to be “artistic” with its stylized visuals and 90s playlist. The “gameplay” is just a bunch of shallow mini-games that pop up randomly and disappear (pushing a shopping cart, skating for two minutes…), long sequences where you just watch your characters do dumb drunk-teen stuff, and dialogues that want to be deep and funny but mostly fall flat. The story of three friends spending their last night together is painfully generic, packed with clichés about adolescence, nostalgia, and “music brings us together.” The worst part? Everything is completely on-rails. Zero freedom, zero stakes, and zero replay value. You click on objects, watch cutscenes, and listen to songs. For the price and all the hype, it feels like a scam. Annapurna once again sold us “emotional” and “artistic” smoke and mirrors. If you want a nostalgic musical trip, just put on a real playlist and watch an actual movie instead. Mixtape doesn’t even deserve to be played. 0.5/5 (and that’s generous, only because of the soundtrack).
