RandomGamerGuy ARC Raiders Review

The good: Cool farming / grinding / crafting / upgrading systems. The bad: The RNG is SUPER high. The AI is bad. You can be not moving in a crouched position in a bush and an ARC not looking / scanning in your direction will suddenly fly across the screen from the edge of the horizon and kill you in one shot. You will chase a surveyor for a quest for 20 minutes, only for it to suddenly roll "out of bounds", making the quest impossible. The player base is toxic and miserable. Someone can ask for help, you help them, and as you walk away they'll sucker punch you in the back of the head, kill you, steal all your items, say what a great PVP fighter they are and be insanely rude. Spawn points are randomly awful. Not just the position, but you can walk out the spawn door, only to be immediately shot by 3 ARCs that were impossible to see. If not that, a camper will snipe you, or set mines so as soon as you start, you're already dead and all the gear and items you took the time to collect and craft and upgrade are gone and now you have nothing. If you're lucky enough to make it to an extraction, the AI strikes again. Local ARCs coming over makes sense and can be fun, but again, ARCs like the Rocketeer that is a mile away and not looking in your direction will suddenly fly across the entire screen to kill you in one hit. If that doesn't happen, the spawn campers also camp at the extraction sites, so you'll be sniped or walk into hidden mines, die, and lose everything.
