raven70 Indiana Jones and the Great Circle Review

"An Exceptional Action-Adventure Experience" Following the main story and questline delivers a solid action-adventure with outstanding production values, excellent direction, and impressive acting throughout. The game features a semi-open world structure, divided into distinct areas that encourage exploration, light puzzle-solving, and collectible hunting—perfect if you're into that (as I am). The direction and cinematic qualities feel like they’re straight out of Raiders of the Lost Ark or the sequel we always wished had been made. That said, this isn’t Uncharted or Tomb Raider. While it shares a sense of adventure and treasure hunting, the pacing, tone, and gameplay are distinct. I'm playing in a completionist style and estimate I'm in the late stages of the game after about 37 hours. If you stick strictly to the main story, it would likely take half that time or less. A couple of notes: This isn’t a fast-paced game, so if you’re looking for constant action, you might find the pacing slower. There’s a strong focus on stealth mechanics, reminiscent of games like Dishonored, where patience and strategic thinking are rewarded. However, the difficulty can be adjusted significantly if combat isn’t your strong suit. I'm playing on normal difficulty, and most of my deaths have been from falls, as there is a fair amount of platforming involved. Overall, it's an exceptional experience with plenty to enjoy for fans of the genre.
